Hello Everyone,
Just wanted everyone to comment & validate this headline in Times of India dated 11th December 2012. EPFO clubs all allowances with Basic Pay. The circular dated November 30 was issued after internal review meetings.

Right Gautam Patel,
I too searched for the same but was unable to find one on the site. Somewhere in May 2011 similar circular was issued & in August 2011 the same declared to be void stating such circulars cannot amend the LAW ENTIRELY but I guess this time it seems to be a different story.
Would appreciate if anyone can come up with updates.

Dear All
I am under the impression that there is a sealing limit of Rs.6,500/= on which the PF contributions are to be collected and remitted. Please inform how this new circular will affect the contributions.
Thanks & Regards

Hello All,
Just would want to know that does this circular supersede the law as a whole? The point no. 12 mentioned in the circular will have impact on various other aspects of law pertaining to the national upper limit of Rs. 6500/-, voluntary contribution, opting out, etc.. And how will this have an effect on tax exemption?
