Dear Nisha,
I can understand that it is a little tensed situation. In my previous organization similar situation happened.
What our management did was -
Issue a new appointment letter to all those who had appointment letter in the old name mentioning that they've been associated with them since [Date of Joining] when the company was known as [old name].
The experience letter would be in the new name and you would be required to put your experience in the new name.
While going for interview you should carry both the offer letters - one with old name and one with new name.
Hope it helped :-)

Hi Nisha,
U said "we change our co. name" did this mean everything remain the same except the name of the co or something else too ?. And
If the management changed or taken over by other co. thus name also changed then it's better to regularise the services of all oldies in the new co. (name) in the form of properly worded letter to all concerned reconfirming the arrangements for the future.
On the other hand if only name changed then U reprint Ur.letter head with the new name underneath (print "formerly.....) and U can issue exp. & apptt.letter if need be. It would solve yr. problem.
One more thing, what happened to your co. Regn. in new name with ROC, VAT, CEx. Labour dept.EPF/ESI etc. ? Have u done that ?

Simple, when you change the company name, as a usual practice, all companies indicates their former name on the letter head (formerly ........................). Moreover, a notice also issue in this regard.
[OLD NAME], a leader in [PRODUCTS/SERVICES] since [YEAR], is now changing its name – to [NEW NAME] ........................
This means you get the same-------------------------------------- dedication to excellence – you’ve come to rely on from [OLD NAME].
You’ll notice our name change soon on all our mailings, packaging, invoices, and promotional materials. It’s still the same company, just a new name.

i am working in one such company.i was appointed in Indian Airlines and now it is merged with Air India and Indian Airlines;it's logo;it's name all cease to exist any more. Now whenever a situation arises when the previous IA has to be referred it is mentioned as 'erstwhile Indian Airlines'as you might have noticed in newspapers/net.Hence the experience letter can refer to the old company name in brackets along with the time it attained its new identity.
