Hi, I have joined 6 months before HR in a reputed MNC which has branch in Delhi. We have only 10 employee in the Indian Branch. Our MD always insist to issue memo for small reasons which I dont like to do.I tried my best to convince the boss but failed to succeed.
Earlier Whenever I issued Memo, employee has created Mess by unaccepting the same. Employees thinks that I issue Memo from my side always, but the situation is opposite, which leads to bad impression on my professionalism as I just started my career as HR.
Please Suggest What To Do.? shall I quit Job.? Do u think a person who got 10 memos in 10 yrs of job has a chance to improve now.

Hi,
Better aligned with the legal framework of the consequence and discipline. If your employees are white collar, you may have frame the conseqeunce management policy.
Please speak with the MD and explain him the same. Have a diaglogue. You can consider following
1) If you face performance issues, please have a performance review mechanism in place, which I think you may have (as you mentioned that your copmany is MNC)
2) If there are certain misconducts, like latecomming, absenteeism, please decide the incidences after which you will enforce the consequence management policy.
a) Normally if there is firts instance, you need to speak with the person and counsel him
b) For repeated instances, based on the impact, you can decide Memo, Show cause, enquiry, warning, suspension, discharge, dismissal etc.
Please avoid giving memos for small things, instead create the culture of trust and transperency.

This is in addition to what Mr Vinod Bidwaik has said.
You have not written one important thing i.e. about signature on the memo. Who signed the memos? Did you obtain your MD's signature and then issued it to the employees?
People always look at the gun i.e. on whose shoulder it is. They generally do not look who shoots the bullet. You could have little diplomatic while issuing the memos.

No I hv been always insisted to get my Signature on every Document/Notice/Memo Issued to employees
That is the the reason I m loosing credibility n trust from Employees now.
Yes You are right...people always see gun n they dnt look the bullet
I think some people are so smart that they push you in a well n enjoys fighting Eg: Divide n Rule Policy

Don't go the extreme end of resigning the job. MAKE YOUR BOSS UNDERSTAND THAT MERE ISSUE OF MEMO'S WONT HELP TO ACHIEVE THE GOAL.
Instead convene meetings at regular intervals, see to that you have 100% attendance - thereby create a situation where all can share their views/opinion.
Many issues can be solved with "SUPERIOR-SUBORDINATE" communication.
