i All , I have recently joined a new MNC .The project for which i got selected in the MNC have rejected me saying the client has not approved of my profile.( The project needs to work at client location , earlier they told me that I have been selected ).now I am on bench and four months Pregnant .Iin current scenario I think it will be difficult for me to get a project because soon i will be going on maternity leave.....What will happen if I dont get a project ? What should i do in such a case ?I have joined the company just few days back and all this happened ,..Please suggest what should i do ?

It is very natural for any client to reject a person when they know the person will take leave soon.
You said that you joined this Company a few days ago and you are four months pregnant. This implies that you are aware of your pregnancy at the time of joining.
If there had been a Medical Test by the Company, they also would have been aware
Law does not say anything about selection of a candidate during pregnancy But almost all Private organisations in India , to my knowledge, would not select a female candidate when they are aware her pregnancy.No one can challenge such action of any Management
However, a person can not be terminated based on pregnancy
However, if you have not disclosed this information in writing if they had asked,then you are in trouble
Management will keep you in Bench, sanction your Maternity Leave for three months when due, and may not sanction further leave.
You will be forced to take more leave than you anticipate, they will ask you to resign or even terminate. If it is a large organisation with more than 2000 people, they may have a few persons in this category and they sure will wait for one year which will include three months of Maternity leave and the balance on loss of pay. If it is small organisation with 100 to 500 people, their approach will be different
