Hi
There are two types of policies 1. Accidental Insurance Policy where an employee gets death benefit or Disability benefit in case of accident. The premium will be max Rs.150/Annum. You can get this free of cost with Salary account where you should speak to your bank and avail the same.
2. The Medi Claim policy which is also called as Cash less medical/Hospitalization benefit card. In this there are two types which is Individual and second Family coverage.
When we compare Money wise, Documentation wise etc I' strongly feel that Private sector is far far far better than ESIC.

Hello Friends:
The area where my plant is located is also not covered by ESIC.
Workmen's Compensation Policy is one way of handling this liability. But it does not cover minor illnesses and sick leaves.
We have gone for a Personal Accident Policy which covers fatal accidents, but not minor accidents. Hence, we have also covered employees under Cashless Medical Insurance Policy - category-wise. For workers, we have covered their families and parents. For staff it is only employee and immediate family. Here too there are plenty of combinations available. Choose your requirement and budget carefully.
Talk to the Insurance companies, they will be your best advisors for the plans.

Dear Naved,
Please note one thing only that if oganization is Established in non notification Area .you can not deduct the esi and either they lived in ESIC area. and you can not take any benifits of ESIC.
if you want to give the benifits for your employees and their family Members you can take the Group health Insurance Policy. and you must take a Employee Compenstation Policy ( WC policy) for your employees.
