Dear Seniors , Who are the right person’s to give lectures ?what are the the main topics to give guest lectures to MBA and Engineering students.
Hi,
Please check with your present staff are they teaching or providing topics as an organization required ? if not please visit the some organizations in your local understand their requirements and schedule the topics?

Hi Prasadu,
Invite experts from relevant field.
For example, for guest lecture to ECE branch students, call senior people from semiconductor/hardware industry. I have given guest lecture in many engineering colleges on the topic "Career in Core Companies". This was well received by students and faculty.
Thanks
-Shrihari Bhat

The above statement is correct up to some extent why means the senor faculty may may not be awre of the organization requirements so ask the employees who are working in industry.
If you required will give the guest faculty number who had industrial experience.

Hi
A continuous contact of Industry - Institute would be the answer. Get in touch with Chambers of Commerce, Employer Associations and get to know the leaders in the field, call them to your college & get guest lectures. There are many Employers' association all over India.
A person with relevant experience in the said field of interest / opportunity would be ideal person to speak on the subject.
If anybody wishes to improvise on this, please.
regards

Hi All,
A guest speaker is chosen due to two reasons as I see it.One --the person is expert/experienced in a relevant subject and that subject is covered during the course .Second-- the person has achieved prominence in a field, unrelated to course content and he/she is called upon to share his view/ experience.
For example we has called grand daughter of Mahatma Gandhi to speak to students. She is a known figure in SA and it was a pleasure to hear her narrate her experiences including interaction with her grand father. I am also aware of prominent personalities like Mr Kalam, Ms Bedi etc being requested to speak to students.
Guest speakers are also called to talk about soft skills.
Regards,
Col.Suresh Rathi
