When you say meaningful to society, you could do things on empowerment, affirmative action, self-help groups, SGAs, Training Govt to be proactive at the village level, creating a responsive administration, quality improvement, employment generation, improving employability of the graduate populace, the list is endless. Actually, it depends on which angle of HR fascinates you. Mention it, and we can brainstorm here :)
