Sir/Madam,
I am working in a Health Care Sector and now I need to do a TNA for the whole staff which is approx. 1500 employees. Through the PA forms I've been able to find out certain behavioural aspects which need to be catered. But there are many departments who've not mentioned any of the behavioural aspects for training for their respective employees.
I thought of doing the TNA through observation but after approaching the said departments, excuses of time constraint, rush in the hospital etc. were given. The H.O.Ds and Senior Managers do not have ample time to fill up the TNA forms as well.
Kindly suggest the next appropriate action to be taken in view of not disturbing the working of the hospital.
Regards
Tanya

There, you’ve got a starting point. Start with a training on time management for everyone across the organization.

Mr. Sathyaish,
The staff has already gone through training on various behavioural aspects including time mgt., stress mgt., communication skills, business etiquette, appearance and hygiene etc. Here we catered to each and every staff of the hospital. Now I want to be specific and want to cater only to people who require training on aspects related to them.
Catering to 1500 employees in a month is a tedious task and might affect the working of the hospital. Hence I want to pick up only the required staff. Kindly suggest me a way.

You need to work out a schedule that would cover all the employees.
This is because, soft skills and / or behavioural skills can not be taught in a day. They need to be reinforced from time to time to make an impact. You should plan the batches in a way that you do not disturb any department by taking majority of its people for a single session.
Once the staff as well as the HODs feel the benefits that they derive from trainings they would become more willing to attend the same and even resist it citing it as a waste of time.
As an HR team member, you should take your Top Management in confidence and when Trainings shall be a mandate given from the Top, HODs would have to help you in the initiative.

Thanks Avika for your response. Each month we cover one behavioural aspect for each staff. Eg. in May we covered the topic business etiquette, in June it was General appearance and hygiene and so on and so forth.
Now I wanted to cater to selective staff since this is quite time consuming. Even Managers and H.O.Ds don't have enough time to spare their staff and all the staff do not even require training for each and every aspect.
Kindly suggest.
