I am working in an IT Company. I am maintaining some of the resgisters but still i have a doubt and want to know more about what all the statuatory registers we have to maintain in an organisation? Kindly assist me what are the satuatory registers we have to maintain?

You have to maintain Form 1(workmen),A(Maternity),B(Wages),C(Fines&unpaid),D(Equal Remuneration),P(Suspension & damages),Q(Attendance),R(Salary),S(In & out emp\'s),T(salary slip)

Dear Meera,
Details of registers like the formats ,no,etc are mentioned in the rules made by each state under the Acts You may read the Tamilnadu rules under the following Acts applicable to your state,
1.Tamilnadu shops &Commercial Establishment Act.
2.Industial Disputes Act.
3.Minimum Wages Act
4.ESI Act(if u have employees with salary upto or less than 15000Rs pm).
5.Payment of Gratuity Act.
6.Payment of Bonus Act(u can ignore this if the salary of employees are more tham Rs10000/pm.)
7.Contract Labor Act ,if have employees engaged through Contractors.
8.National& Festival holidays Act of Tamilnadu.(this is not very significant if you working 5day a week)
9.Maternity Benefit Act.
10.Payment of Wages Act for employees with wages upto Rs18000/pm.
you may also verify whether TN has any act on Welfare fund applicable to commercial est; like IT Cos.If so that also to be complied with.U can contact me for further consultation.
