I am working in Partner Ship Firm. I want to know about the leaves. Company has given us 20 Paid leaves, but employee will be eligible for the leave after 6 months. Our leaves year start from January to December.
In this regards I want to know it the employee is joined in April then for how many leave employee will be entitled for the leave upto to December.
In which category the above said leave falls down.
In case if employee join in April thereafter employee works on probation period for 6 month so let me know for how many leaves he will be eligible upto December.

Dear Sujata,
PL is also called as EL (Earned Leave). We have to work and then based on period we earn leave and same leave will be credited to employees a/c as opening balance.
In your case since employee has joined in April you can calculate leave 20 / 12 X (9 month) = 15 Leaves.
Next year opening balance you can show 15, in case employee takes any leave during current year as advance leave then balance will reduce further.
