Dear All
Please go through the attached file... Sharing as received from other source...
I am sure we can't get the detailed investigations report of this kind of incidents... But this kind of accidents really shows the lack of safety management system in most of the Indian industries...

Dear Dipil,

In small scale industries its very hard to work as a safety professional they cannot offer supervisor, safety guy for all high hazard tasks. They split the people's to work in different tasks increase the production and save money, But most of the final results ends with accident some of them come's to medias most of them hiding by management. This is the status of small scale industries.

Most of case safety professionals are helpless and doesn't have an authority to implement safety standards in work place. Well we can Take L & T (For example) its one of the biggest group in our country they proved in engineering standard's , they complete the projects in time, They complete the projects in good quality etc..,, but if you goes to safety most the project result was same. they just say we have few accidents and one fatality. What is that mean????????/ You can see if they have projects in city limit which is high visible to public and govt at least they act like working safely (As a safety professional you pass the way you can see tons of unsafe act and condition in that high visible area). But if you out of city its screwed up even they don't have proper PPE's only good thing they have high visibility jacket's in road projects No shoe , no hard hat even supervisors doesn't follow the rules the only guy ever seen with all proper PPE it was ""SAFETY GUY'' standing near by them with proper PPE..

In all the cases safety professionals failed to address the problems to management due to communication error between management and safety professionals......... Our supervisors (expect few of them) play a vital role in project's but failed in implementation of safety standards in work place without superiors safety guy cannot do anything ''Damn Truth''........

anyhow thanks for sharing a news with us.,, Again welcome back ...

Dear Dipil,
Thanks for the update.
This incidence would be used for trainings on why work permit is necessary.
Dear Raghu,
What you have said is true.
But the safety professional has to perform a role as "catalyst"
If you choose this role then you have to perform, communicate hazards even if one does not get the support from Top management.
Thanks & Regards,
Sudhir

Dear Raghu,
Mr. Sudhir is very right, safety professional are the support & resource only. Actual managing safety at floor is the line management function. One or few safety staff can not be everywhere everytime. Like Managing production & quality is the line management function, safety also. Highlighting Unsafe Act & Condition are the job of every body in the organisation those are the actual cause for the injury & other unplanned events.
Safety is the eye of the top management to ensure safety not for implementation.
Regards,
Lokesh
