I am trying to withdraw money from PF account. The from asks for ECS code of the bank. My bank is HDFC bank ltd. Please let me know where / how I can get it. I have the banks MICR code. Is it the same as ECS code?

Thanks a lot for the information. What I want to know is whether MICR number and ECS code are same? Can I write MICR code in the PF form instead of ECS code? I already have the MICR code.

Hello MICR & ECS code varies ECS code is IFSC Code an dits 11 Digit number. IFSC Code of HDFC Starts from HDFC000..... :)
