Hi,
I have around 10 years of IT experience. This is my fourth company. Last 3 companies were MNCs. My first company was closed sometime back. It was a small start up when I joined there. I worked in that company for 18 months. This company was closed long back. And I have only a reliving letter from my first company. I joined my current company 2 years back. I am not sure if my current company has done any background checks of my first company though I have given all the documents of all my previous employers. Now I want to move from my current company. Please advise if this will create any problem with my future jobs. Frankly speaking due to this fear I could not join some good companies last year.
Also I would like to know whether companies usually do background verification for last 2-3 companies or all.
Any suggestions will really help.

hi,
you need not worry about this at all, it has nothing to do with your job, career or future professional endeavors. When you have submitted the related genuine documents your duty is done with that....... And back ground verification does not affect on your job security. For your satisfaction, I would also mention that just because the company is closed does not make the company vanish completely, all the records and related documents will be kept safe and closed companies will be recorded in the office of the company registrar in the closure book, this is corporate function and has got nothing to affect the HR functions or of employees of the companies. So I suggest you please do not deny the good opportunities, grab with confidence and move ahead......
(yeah, if you are the reason for closure of the company then you will have to worry......!! ;-)
Wish you good luck.........
