Hello everyone,
I am an MBA(HR)fresher.Recently I have attended an interview where the interviewer asked me Why Recruitment as a career? I have answered the question but I was not able to impress the interviewer..Can anyone help me out with your sugesstions..plzz

I dont know what you told the interviewer but perhaps, in future, you can something on these lines.

For any organisation to perform well, human resource is essential. Factories may be there, plant and equipment may be there but ultimately it is the human resource who run the entire economy in this world. Therefore, for the economy to function effectively, in whichever area it is required, the person so selected should be as per the management expectation and should fit into the role like Glove to the Hand. Therefore, Recruitment plays a great role in analysing a resume, decide about the suitability for the job role, 'promote' or 'sell' the company to the candidate by explaining the product , service etc it can offer to the economy and humanity, make him attend the interview, coax him, cajole him (whenever required, if the guy is semi-reluctant or half-hearted and not able to make a decision) and then to make him undergo the selection process. The recruiter is after the candidate till he comes on board. Unless the candidate comes on board, there will be shortfal in manpower to run the show. Hence Recruiter is essential ! Recruiter is also a Consultant, Advisor, Assessor, Counsellor... all rolled into one !
