Hi,
I work for a company called "X". A company called "Y" joined through partnership / share method in to "X". Hence "Y" can use any resources in the company for their work.
I would like to know if a company like "Y" joined in "X". Should "X" should conduct a meeting with all employess and mention it publicly to remove the awareness atleast via emails. Ofcourse both are private. "X" is giving salaries publicly.
If it mentions, what are the benifits a employee can get.
If it doesn't mentions there would be situation like this. After resigning from "X" company. Can we work for clients of "Y" directly or indirectly. Why because there was no clear inputs given to "X" employees.
And also can you please let me know for how much time period we should not for clients of "X" company as per indian IT rules & regulations in 2 situations like if i signed on contract agreement at time of joining and not.

Hello,
Reg the first Part of your query ['......should X conduct a meeting with all employess.......'], the answer is ABSOLUTELY YES.
The more you delay such initiatives from the HR-end, the more scope builds-up for miscommunication/rumour-mongering within the company X [sometimes with disastrous consequences--including, but not limited to, increased attrition]. In fact, this ought to also have been done in Company Y.
The mode you want to choose [e-mails or Common meetings--in groups or all the employees depends on the employee strength & the locational spread] can vary. But even if mails are sent, it SHOULD BE followed thru a F2F meeting--invariably many employees would have all sorts of queries--the best way to handle in a open & transparent manner would be F2Fs.
Your II Part of the query isn't clear--could you pl elaborate it?
Rgds,
TS
