I would like to know, if one has spent a long time in a single job where the roles & resp. haven\'t changed significantly even through promotions, can one club all the responsibilities & achievements of the entire tenure of the job without having to break them into different time periods, in previous positions (designations) while in the same job ? E.g. in many back-office jobs in Admin, HR, IT, or Accounts, though a person may move up the hierarchy from, say Accounts Asst. to Manager-Accounts, but his/her responsibilities more or less remain the same, it becomes difficult to break them into different time spans, as most roles would overlap across time spans. How does one handle such a situation in a Resume ? Please advise.

If there is no difference in the content or quality of functions and the degree of decision making and accountability and they are same for all the postions, what use it will serve to repeat the same for different levels/time periods.On the otherhand it will convey a negative impression that you have just rolled over various positions without gathering any mass.
