Hi,
We are implementing "5s" in our organization.Is there anything which I can use to motivate the employee to do the 5s in the organization as Staff were not showing their interest to change & making work environment more better.

Dear Madhura, you have to show them how using it helps them individually and as a company. Can you also assure them that there would not be any layoffs due to implementing the 5S?

You can tell them the advantages of Implementing 5S in your organisation.
And also you can conduct 5S oriented games to get the better understanding of 5S in your organization.

According to me there could be some resistance initially.
Once the benefits are seen they would volentarily participate.
I can share my experience.
We made zones at our work place.
Each zones had few members and one leader.
They did red tag campaign
We organised interdepartmental compititions on number of red tag items identified by each zone.
There were weekly reviews.
Then the identified red tagged items were disposed.
Approx 800 Square Meters area was available just after completing 1S.
Then there was active participation.

Thank you friends for ur reply and guidance.
I had foot on to my 1st step of "5S".After selling the scrap and unnecessary items from the company we had generated nearly 1.5lac amt for company and more than sufficient space of storage for files and other items.
Now one step ahead for another stage of "5s".
