Hi HR Fraternity,
I pursued my masters in Hr from India and worked in India for 2.5 years. After that I came to UK to study Masters in HR (CIPD). From past two yrs I am working in HR with a retail organisation and have a generalist profile.
In next six months I plan to return back to India and I was wondering how would I be received in Indian HR job market with my UK degree and UK work experience. Could some please throw some light on what salary package I should expect.

Dear Dipti,
I have my students who qualified from the University of Bolton working in India. They are in the HR field. However, I am of the opinion that MNC would view your qualification and experience favourably. Any exposure to different cultures and ethics would be better than experience in any one country.
I am sure some experts in India will throw some light on the salary you can expect.

Well, thank you for your promt response. Could I please ask wether the students are CIPD quaified post graduates and did they work in UK.
I am of the same opinion that I mikght be well received by the MNC\'s. However, my major concern is about the profile and the salary package that I should expect at this point. I am pretty sure the Management experience that I would have would be an value addition to the prospective organisation. There is vast difference in how the HR function operates in UK and India. And most importantly the cultural diversity and employment laws are a major thing here. The employment law that we have are so very outdated and appauling nothing governs the employee or their rights.
Well, I will be happy if more professionals throw some light. I am looking forward for some more comments.
Thank you very much for your time.
Many Thanks,
Dipti Rane
