Can you help us in this regard 'OR' advice us how contractor can get PF code for their firm/establishment? Whereas, earlier EPFO allotting PF code to contractor.

Documents for contractors to obtain pf code
1. Shops establishment reg.or reg.of the firm
2. Pan No
3. Bank Account detail
4. Form 5 issued by principle employer
5. Address proof
7. Salary sheet
8. D/D
perhaps contractor is not providing these documents in support of the application that's why pf authorities denying the same pls confirm with your contractor

Dear PC,
As per the act it is ultimately the principal employer's liability to comply by the EPF act if any or all contractors fail to comply.
Firstly I advise you to see if all ur contractors have taken labour licence for engaging workmen. If they haven't then see if you could get a form 5 under Contract Labour Act to them.
Secondly, having taken the labour licence instruct them to apply for pf code if they don't have any!
If ur contactors have less than 20 heads of total manpower including all their staff then you must proceed to make their compliance in your code and debit their bills accordingly.
