Gratutity calculations
Dear all could you please tell me how the gratutity is calculated. i am working in private company and joined on 2007 march 12. i resigned an relieving on 3rd november 2011. as i know any employee can get gratutity even if he completes the 4 years and 240 days. my question is on what date gratutity calculation will be considering. is it joing date of the employee? or it will be calculated based on year starting date. like jan to december. am i applicable for getting the gratutity even if i am not completing the 4 years 8 months. i am completing the 4 years and nearly 230 days. could you please tell me i am applicable for getting the gratutity.
Going for maternity leave
Dear all i would be going for my maternity leave from next week. i want to know that whether pl privileged / earned leave in my account will get accumulated during the days that i will be on leave? also if i feel like discontinuing my job during my maternity leave then can i resign during my tenure of leave? will notice period be valid during leave?

Dear all one of our lady employee has applied for maternity leave for 3 months and her leave has granted by the management. as per our hr practice employees are entitled to get 32 days leave annually is she supposed to get this leave separately or it can be included with her maternity leave. regards. debasish chakraborty

I am a senior resident doctor in a government hospital. working on a yearly contract basis. i shall not be able to join back after maternity leave as i have no place to leave my baby. i recieved 6 month maternity leave.. if i resign shall i have to return 6 months maternity pay or only one months in lieu of notice period. thanx
