Dear Friends!!!
I have query regarding Reliving letter & Experience letter.
One of the employee resigened without any notice period. She left office without completing her exit formalities. And nowafter one month, she is asking for Releving letter. So, she was informed that she will get the same only after completing the Exit Formalities.
Shall the HR dept give her Releving letter or Experience Letter or both.
Please help me in this case.

If an employee is not formally relived how can the Hr issue relieving letter? The very meaning of the relieving order is that the person has been relived from his/ her responsibilities. It is issued only when the employee has undergone the exit formalities. Therefore, the request made by the employee is not maintainable and can be refused. In this scenario as per the records the employee would be still in service but on leave without intimation and the HR can rightly send a letter stating that the employee has been absconding. The HR can also ask the employee to come to the office and do the formalities and then issue the relevant certificates.
