MANJUNATH S
Hi all,
I have clarification / doubt related to Salary calculations.
In some companies the salary is divided by 30 or 31 days, but in few other companies the calculations are made by 26 or 27 days.
I would like to know what kind of justification can be given for calculating the salary by 26 or 27 days.

Hi..
Salary is been calculated on the basis of number of days in that particular month, For January it will be 31 days, for April would be 30 days and for February it would be 28 or 29 days...

Hi Friends,
Thank you for your valuable feedback.
But what I want actually is, as mentioned below :
In my company 3 to 4years back the salary was calculated on 30, 31 days , but later we switched to calculating on 26 , 27 days.
When we pay we pay for 26 or 27 days, ie., if the employee is fully present for 26 or 27 days we pay him full salary.
I would like to know what kind of justification can be given for doing so and how the sundays salary is adjusted.

Mr.Manjunath !
Hi !
I am new to this site.
I read your query.
I would like to submit few words for your clarification.
There are Two types of classifications of employees i.e. Workers and Staff.
Workers are daily wages basis.
Staff are monthly salary basis.
When calculating payments on daily basis, it should be calculated on 26 days.
When calculating payments on Salary basis, it should be calculated on 28/29/30/31 days according to that specific month.
When wages are paying, the weekly offs cannot be calculated. Hence we have to take 26 days.
All statutory benefits to be calculated accordingly.
