Dear All,
Greetings for the day!
I had following query related to ESIC Monthly contribution.
How many copies of Esic monthly contribution challan is to be submitted to SBI Bank?
As for month of June our company submitted only one copy of challan along with cheque.
Please let me know what will be the consequences of submitting only one challan copy to the bank.

You have to submit 3 copies to bank.
They will retain two copies one will return for your filing purpose.
If you submit one you will not get your copy check with bank officials if already submitted they will give you photo copy.

Dear Sir,
Thank you for your prompt reply.
so if bank officials have already submitted the challan then they will give me photocopy of depositors copy.
And Bank will send a photo copy to esic on their own? Or I will have to submit the copy of what I get.
I wants to know step wise exactly what should I do.

Hi,
Now everything in online you no need to submit anything to ESIC now. Amount will automatically credit to ESIC account once you submit the challan.
Keep the copy for your reference for reconciliation.

Dear Sir,
Nowadays esi challan is automatically generated in online as soon as we enter the working days and salary. We will get esic challan in 2 parts. One part will retained by the bank and another part is for us. We need not send anything to esi corporation. Only before March 2011 the manual challan contains 3 parts. The bank will give us 2 copies. One copy we have to send it to esic with the half yearly return. That procedure is not now.

Dear Trupti,
If your going through online method, then you have to deposit a single copy of the challan along with cheque, which divided in to parts. Left side part(Bank copy) will keep by bank & right side part(customer copy) will return back to you after putting acknowledgement stamp.

yes.. I agree with Mr. Narasimhan.
Dear Trupti,
Pls submit only one hard copy of the generated challan (pdf) with cheque to bank. After cheque realization, you have to collect the employer copy (part of the challan you have submitted). You have to submit RC to ESIC through online.
Simple.....
Have a nice day..
