Dear Friends, Please guide me how to get an exemption for providing creche facility in a factory, there are around 45 female employees working, and only 13 are married.

Hi Factory act not says married or unmarried. If More than 30 woman employees you have to have a creche as per the act. Regards Eswar.K Manager-HR 8056041800

Hi,
I spoke to department people, they are advised me to apply for exemption since the total married woman are less than 15, need to attest the declaration by the each employee about their marital status along with addressing to director of factories.

Hi,
I also have a same problem as you have we have 100 women worker but out of them only 5 - 6 are married then also we are going to start creche facility and it is compulsory as mentioned in section no. 48 of Factories Act 1948. there is no any other option

in amendment " Subs. by Act 94 of 1976, s. 23" it is showing 50 women instead of 30 women for creche. i will be grate full if any body clarify on it.

Recently i have received one new amendment by orally that, creche facility have to provide if women workers more than 50, it is hiked from 30 to 50, due to this please confirm the same. if any of you received notification of same amendment.
