Burying One’s Talent
<image no longer exists>
A miser melted down his hoard of gold into a single lump, which he then secretly buried in a field. Every day he went to look at it, and would spend hours gloating over it. But some of the servants discovered his secret, and one night stolen the gold. The miser was inconsolable. But a friend of his said: ‘Don’t take it badly. Just put a brick in the hole, and take a look at it everyday. You won’t be any worse of than before, for even when you had the gold you never used it.’

Moral:
There is something very sad about talents going to waste, for when a talent goes to waste a person goes to waste. A brilliant footballer turns to drink; a wonderful singer turns to drugs…. and their talents are lost, perhaps forever.
“The real tragedy of life is not in being limited to one talent, but in the failure to use the one talent.”
-Edgar W. Work

OH!!! Thanks for re posting...A kind gesture but if we all started re posting our old post for the benefits(Misrepresented EGO under this name for getting thanks and impress others) of members who may have actually missed the posts...Don`t you think it would be a huge burden on the site with multiple repeats and extra time waster.
Hope you take it light.
