Your Self Awareness is Your Strength Awareness

The need to know about one self is a natural desire of most people. Many people make several attempts to know themselves. They do it by reflecting and by introspecting on their past behaviours, on their thought processes, and even analyse their feelings about people and situations. But in the absence of definite methodology their search ends abruptly even though the thought continues.

Self Awareness is all about an individual’s SWOT analysis of the self (SWOT = Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities & Threats). Each one of us need to find out about one’s hidden Strengths and learn to use it, so as to gain success faster. The majority however ends up unnecessarily working on the weaknesses that takes much longer to yield desired results.

Your Strengths leads to great opportunities in your life and career for a bright future. Hence the urgent need to work on your strengths and learn to use it more often. On the contrary, your weaknesses shall always remain your threats and are likely to take you on a downward spiral. Hence the need for you to learn to seek support from those people who are good in areas you are weak. So goes the story Team up or steam up.

Self Awareness leads to self respect, self belief, self love and self trust. I respect my strengths, so that others respect me. I believe in myself so do others believe in me. I love myself and so do others love me and my beliefs. I trust myself so do others trust me. Knowing my real strengths is truly the key to lasting happiness and progress. Can you be without it?

Our true strengths are actually hidden inside each one of us in the form heredity and environmental influences. We are born with gifts that we rarely use, due to our ignorance. The good news is that you can measure it now. Our upbringing has too bestows certain strengths to us in terms of conditioned emotional responses to different situations. Our personality is a combination of both, the heredity and environment. So it is good to measure both in order to gain a holistic view and better understanding of the self.

But as we grow, based on the demands of life or work or school one develops certain competency or is required to develop some more to be on the fast lane. Do a Psychometric competency mapping to know as to where you stand today, so that you can take right decisions as to where you wish to be in the near future.

You have an advantage to find out and actually measure as to how good you are, in your communication. Don’t forget the fact that communication is the life blood of your progress no matter your subject matter expertise, technical competence or years of experience. Based on the theory of transactional analysis, now you can get your specific solution to all your communication problems or challenges.

You would have noticed at times that your behaviour is not same everywhere and it actually varies depending on the situation. Now you can be in the driver’s seat by even helping yourself with that knowledge too. Your behaviour is driven by your attitude made up of the conditioning over the years. You can change all of that by changing your thought process and to change that you need to measure your inner mind.
