Mr.Saithil
For pursuing HR as a career, you need to acquire a formal qualification in HR
You can pursue a full time MBA or PGDHR if you can leave the job or
You can pursue a part time MBA or PGDHR course if you can't leave the job. Distance educations do not find much favour with the employers unless you have an attractive work experience in hard core HR. In the mean time try to get into jobs that are connected with HR or administration like salary administrationetc.

I have a similar decision here. Though I have started a career in HR, and it's advanced certificate as practitioner in related field. I want a course or a certificate programme to be able acquire relevant experience on software. It could be an Oracle programme in d field to guide on HR, software.
I also need to have someone help me with a reading materials on human resources and knowldge management.

The questions may revolve round the following issues /subjects
1) Why you want to switch to HR while marketing is more lucrative?
2)Who is your favourite marketing guru? Read som ething about him
3) what kind of skills are required for a marketing job? How HR will help you to find one?
4)whether cottage industry is an industry u/I.D Act?
5)Read about P.F ESI and gratuity and theircomputaions, wage limits etc.
6) Read some definitions slike retrenchment. closure, lay off and theprocedure, strike and lock-out.
7) keep track of recent amendments in ESI,P,F,I.D Act nad Gratuity Act. (You can view the blog on talentmoon.com for some key amendments an dsome issues on P.f,ESI,gratuity and late coming etc)

Dear Saithil,
When I red your query it was exactly matching with my career path. Even I am B.sc holder was very much interested in HR. I had taken MBA course in Karnataka State Open University. (Its correspondence Course) I had almost 4 yrs of exp in BPO as quality analyst. I have completed my MBA successfully without quitting the job. Now I am working as HR in one company. It does not matter whether you have MBA regular degree or correspondence degree it all matters is how much interest you have in order to get your dream job. You take up MBA Course and start hunting the job. show how much interested you are to get HR Job definaltly you will get it and even you can become an excellent HR.
All the very best
