Kindly go through the Building & other construction workers (BOCW) act, also you can go through the factories Health and Safety act, Shop & Establishment act, which will give you the insight of Welfare activity and your duties.

I am dealing with construction contractor as Client .
I am asking for deputation of Labour welfare officer but number of workmen are less than 500 .
Contractor is avoiding to appoint labour welfare officer as number of worker is 250.
how to deal with situation ?
As I am quating BOCWA to contractor and there is no specific instruction in BOCW Act.
Please guide me .
