Dear All,

I worked in a real estate company for an year as an asst manager HR .I have seen the culture of that company for more then an year that not even a single employee leave that org on a friendly note because whenever any employee intimate to the management that he/she wants to resign due to xyz reason then the management start creating unnecessary pressure to those employees ,since i was in hr hence I know the each and every thing about the company .

Couple of weeks before i also got very good opportunity to work with some good company so at that time i was in the same situation in which other employee were .

I decided to resign with the excuse of some urgency at my home .I gave my resignation and start giving my handover to my collegue as i can not be unethical. After 7 days they got to know that i am leaving the organization due to better opportunity from some hidden sources .After that they started pressurising me hence i decided to leave the organization .I sent a leave note after 8 days of my resignation and left the organization.

After my leaving they have declared me absconded and circulated a mail to all the employees that i have been absconded with the company property.

Kindly suggest me ,will it make any taint or bad effect on my my future carrear. As currently i am working with good copany with good environment .

Please suggest as i am in big fix.

Regards

Hi Arpit,
Do you have a acknowledged copy of your resignation?. You can use one as a proof of your resignation and acceptance of the management. In case your current company does background verification, go ahead and discuss the matter with senior. I am sure since you have worked in your previous company for a year , you would surely have a good rapport with some senior. Give his reference. Also ensure that you discuss the case in advance in your future interviews.
In case you are from the same industry, the company would be infamous for such episodes.

Dear Jhuma,
Thanks for your inputs on the same .
As they had not accepted my resignation so i dont have the acknowledged copy of the same.
But i have conveyed each and everything to my current company's top management including my Head HR hence they dont have any objection on the same moreover they are supporting on the same matter as I made them understand about my previous company's culture.
Just want to confirm that as per the Shop and establishment act if any employee is putting his/her resignation then managment has to give response within 48 working hour .
In my case they did not give any response even after 7 days .
I was having good relationship with each and every empoyee of my previous organization but no body wants to take a quarrel with the management hence i have a doubt that they will give good feedback about me .
Waiting for your reply on the same.

If i will send a follow up mail for the acknowledgement than they might ask to come down in the office.and again i have to go with very humiliating round of interection with all those people.
And i will try to give the phone no of my ex. seniors ignoring any written communication for any future reference ( thanks for your suggestion on the same).
Thanks for your revert .

I am supposed to serve a notice period of 60 days.
I had got a better job opportunity, but they wanted me to join within a month. I had resigned 20 days back, requesting my company to allow me serve one month’s notice and deduct salary for the shortfall of notice period (remaining one month).
My company has been reluctant and eventually, I had to speak in my new company to inform them. With god’s grace, they extended my joining date by a month.
Thus, I informed in my company that I am willing to serve full 60 days’ notice, w.e.f. from the date I had resigned (20 days back).
Would my company ask me to serve full 60 days’ notice starting today? I am confused and request seniors to help.
