my salary is 5000 per month. how to calculate my basic salary and all allowances.pls tell my financial formula to calculate my basic salary.so iwant to correct formula to calculate the basic salary from my gross salary
Hi Saichandu,
Employers determine the basic salary. It may be 25%-50% of gross salary.
For some employer it is fixed i.e 6500 if the salary is more.
In your case, you need to ask your employer what policy they are having exactly.
In my company it's 25% of gross salary.
Thanks,
Sarita

Hi, HRA % is upto 50% on Basic in Metro cities, DA as per Comsumer Price Index and depends on company falls under which category, Medical allowances should be 1250/- which are non taxable. Sanjay
Salary components are approximately structured on the following basis:
50% of your gross salary is Basic
30% of your gross salary is House Rent Allowance
Rs. 800/- pm is the Transport Allowance
11.33% less Rs. 800/- pm is the Conveyance Allowance
8.67% is the Medical/ Leave Travel Assistance.
This varies from company to company
