Hai,
All the best for your future, to start a carrer in HR, the basic qualification is MBA HR. since you are working u can do ur distance in Human resources from good universities. To Step into HR field you need to know the concepts, responsibilties of HR, there are good number of magazinies where HR from different companies express their view. Starting u may find difficulty but once you get into completely one fine day u wil be a manager to to automobile company.

Dear Smilesat Welcome to HR Fraternity,
It seems you are so passionate towards HR as you did your Diploma in HR you might be knowing the HR functions but not fully.....if you are interested in Generalist/IR and core HR Activities you need to have minimum qualification of MBA/MSW firstly join a company as HR-Assistant where you need to start learning for 1-2 years and apply for distance Education - MBA/MSW then gradually you 'll find your destination if there is any other queries related to this please reply to this post immediately...
All the very best for your Future....:):)

Hi Smilesat,
First of all, I wish you all the very best to select the HR role as a career option.
The best possible way for you to get into this field is to start your MBA through distance education program from some good University. The MBA you will do will only add some academic weightage to your profile based on the theoritical knowlwdge you may gain. To boost up the learning scope, there are few Training institutes which provide practical knowledge in HR. You can think about joining some training program simultaneously, it will help you to co-relate the theoritical knowledge with the practical knowledge. For that you will have to search some good institute in your area. This activity will help you to gain maximum weightage in your profile.
Please do let me know if you like the suggestion.

Rashmi

Hi Smilesat,
If there is no chance to perform as HR-Assistant in your company even after your requisition to your HOD then you look for a better offer as HR-Assistant/Executive as you are very passionate towards HR...... and as Rashmi said if you are so interested to get much exposure towards HR you can join practical HR Training in HR house or some other good reputed institutes......Wishing you a very best for your career....:)

Hi Smilesat
All the best for your career and like the advices given by fellow members, you can go ahead with them.
Just to add on Personnel and HR in india is treated as equivalent.
You need to find your passion as to what exactly you wanna do.
I would suggest a full time course rather then a part time or distance learning.
Firstly from full time course you would be exposed to in-depth knowledge and applications.
Secondly the possibility or a PPO or Campus.
If at all you wanna gain work experience with studies then would suggest you to start with a mediocre company so that you would get to learn various aspects of HR and not just personnel. There you would have creativeness and freedom also to pilot your ideas.
Moreover excel in what you have passion for.

Tabassum
