We have 5 contractors in our new manufacturing field.There Work Order are from 01-07-2011 To 31-03-2012.But there work have extended for one month i;e till 30-Apr-2012. so are they need to make provision of Bonus to their wokers ? But contractors said it is not applicable for them. so Is it Company Liability ?

dear mr pravin, If the payment of bonus act is applicable to these contractors, they are liable. In fact the contractors are liable for all labour laws as per the strength of their firm

Dear Being a priciple employer you are not responisble for the payment of nonus to contract labour.

Dear Pravin<
Your company is not liable to pay onus to the employees of contractors, being a principal employer your are laible to pay wages, and as per wages act, bonus is exlcuded form the defination.
