When employee is having sick leave to his credit the employer is no expected to deduct salary treating the leave as LOP. Then the question of deducting two times the average pay for every day of leave does not arise at all. These kinds of exploitation will happen only in unorganised sector. In order to get relief, you can represent before the Labour Authorities. However, before moving to that direction, please discuss the matter with the HR Manager and try to sort it out.
I totally agree with Mr. Madhu. Its nothing but exploitation of the work force and an example of unfair labor practice. regards, Kamal
