Can somebody help that what's the minimum qualification of Factory Medical officer under Factories Act-1948 for manufacturing industries under section (2k).

Dear Kudeep, A factory medicial officer should with qualified MBBS person and certified from National Model Centre for Occupational Health Services - AIFH.
MBBS, AFIH(Associate Fellow of Industrial health.... 3 months course) or DIH (Diploma in industrial health 2 years course)
A MCI reconised medical degree MBBS and AFIH course conducted by DGFASLI, Mumbai and DIH from All India Institute of Public Health and Hygiene Kolkata and not by another DIH by correspondence course is only eligible to be appointed as Factory Medical Officer
can doctor with DIHS degree can conduct the medical examination and can legibly fill the Form 32 and Form 33 of Factory Act 1948???

Registered medical practitioner having completed MBBS is the basic qualification to be appointed as medical officer and Person completed AFIH by DGFASLI is eligible to function as occupational health physician and factory medical officer in hazardous industries. None other is eligible to function as factory medical officer
