Dear All,
I did MBA in HRM from through distance learning from National Institute of Management,Mumbai. Now I need to attest the certificate for Qatar visa.I am afraid the certificate would be rejected by Qatar embassy in India as I heard about some blacklisting regarding NIM.Please give your suggestions regarding the same.
Thanks,

mily,
i have stayed in EMEA region.
degree attestation is a very important part of your residence permit "iqama" there.
you have to get the original attested by institute/ university/ directorate of education/ min of external affairs/ min of cultural affairs..
if the mba degree cant be verified, get your bachelor's degree verified..
if you are not able to complete the above, your visa category may be lower ie you can go and work there on a labour or technician visa..you may not be allowed to come home often plus cant take your family etc..

1. Get notary stamp and attestation from local court / lawyer (Local Charges)

2. Get verification stamp from University (Local Charges)

3. Get Attestation Stamp from Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Mumbai / Delhi or nearest Metro) (Free)

4. Get Attestation from HRD ministry (Delhi) ( INR 900 – 1200)

5. Get Attestation from Embassy of country where travelling to (INR 900 – 1200)

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Also note, person travelling to middle east / gulf countries require PCC (police clearance certificate) after date of VISA issue. Please enquire all related procedure before committing any financial resources, booking tickets, accepting offers and resging from current jobs.

If possible stay away from cook travel agents who promise to complete the process of travel to gulf countries for a ransom. Entire process of visa stamping and travelling to gulf is simple and corruption free.

hussain,
i have worked with one of the leading groups in middle east "zamil"...
1. we never got a cert attested by a lawyer..
2. verification from university depends on when he did his degree.. in normal course its 50 rupees but it can be 1000 too for old cases.
3. next comes directorate of education in delhi.. in maharashtra check mantralaya...
4. min of external affairs is not free, its called apostile and costs 25/ 50 rs..
consultants may charge you 20k too for the above

HI SVR
Your suggestions is also right, I shared my experience of getting the certificates attested. I got my sisters and friends certificates attested as instructed this way.
I did not wish to go through agents, as I heard horor stories of lost documents and blackmail to get more money out of complicated process.
Well so, I guess please dont follow my advise. Research .. before going for the task.
Thanks for the corrections.

Hi Pon
This attestation, PCC and minimum requirement of degree graduate is a recent ruling in Gulf countries. Even I came across attestion requirement and PCC in August 2009. I went through Hell of a time to get this processes arranged and lost to a good opportunity from a employer in Gulf.
This new ruling applied to those who were recently entering into gulf employment contracts and does not affect ones who were already there.
