Dear Chetan
the calculation, in my view, shall be on the full wages drawn by him by avearging it on the basis of the number of days he worked in the month preceding the date from which he proceeds on leave.

In case of EL encashment, take only the Basic wage and DA. But the concerned employee may be avail as Leave, he is eligible to get full wages (Basic +DA+All allowances) with his regular wages.

Dear Chetan,
I think your query is about leave salary for the earned leave availed by the employee as well as encashment of earned leave. In any case I beg to slightly differ from Saikumar and Ramaswamy. Certain specific allowances paid for day- to - day work need to be excluded from the leave salary
