I am 2 plus yrs experienced in HR sector and presently not working. I hv done my PGDHRM. Now wish to join some payroll processing course. Will that help boost my career further? Anybody here in payroll processing sector help me please..Also want to know some institutes in Chennai which offer this course.

First tell me your experience in HR sector. Breif your role. Any particular reason for changing to Payroll?
Even in Payroll there are more opportunities. Are you looking for Payroll procesing in Oracle or any particular software or just the payroll process.
If looking for basics of payroll then I don't suggest any courses. There may be many institutes in chennai but I am unaware of those institutes.
Even from cite HR you can learn payroll process by going through postings and raising doubts.

if you want to do any course then SAP is one of the best training for payroll as most of the organisations are offering the position who have done this course. This would not only provide you the knowledge of payroll processing but the other functions also.

I was browsing through some online SAP HR payroll processing course programs. I am not sure whether they r awarding the certification after successful completion of the course. Let me know if certification is a prerequisite for joining any organisation? Please guide me through if you are already into payroll processing.
