Hi all,
Company wherein i work operates for 5 days (monday to Friday) a week on 1shift basis from morning 9am to 6pm. Because of the business exigency on quarterend we called 2-3 workmen for 3 days on changed timings (2pm to 10pm insted of 9am to 6pm). No way we are exceeding daily and weekly limits of work hours.
Does this attract the 9A clause of ID act - Notice of Change?
Does the same needs to be informed to inspector of factories thru notice?
Kindly help with the format.
Thanks
Mahesh

Dear Mr.Mahesh
If you have not changed the total hours of work per day or total hours of work per week, section 9A is not attracted. I presume that you have asked your employees to come on a different shift than what they are used to attend. This does not attract section 9A unless there is an increase in the daily or weekly hours of work.
With regards
