What is your project title?

Work place violence is not tolerated by any company and is considered as a gross mis conduct. If an employee is caught engaging in violence then the company reserves the right to terminate the employment of the employee without any notice. The employee however will have a right to appeal. Before terminating the employee the company must collect the necessary proof like statements from other employees regarding the issue etc. All companies follow almost the same procedure in case of workplace violence.

Most of the companies alot some time during the induction of new employees for this topic and explain them regarding the policies about of disciplinary and gross misconduct to avoid any such instances, better be safe than to regret. Some comapanies also give refresher training to all the team leaders and managers to empower them regarding the same so that they dont have to depend on the HR.

When someone gets hurt or if the property of the company is damaged, the company shall proceed legally and the person who was engaged in the violence will be contacted by the companies lawyers directly.

If it is a case of minor incident the responsible employee shall be given final written warning (which will stay on his file for 1 year, any repeated action will lead to dismissal, no bonus, increment in that year to the alledged employee).
