I need to issue a showcause notice to a faculty of a university for not performing her duties inspite of repeated enquires and intimation by mail. the faculty hardly comes to office and perform her duties. students have to kep waiting endlessly for meeting her.

It has been observed that since your date of Joining you have not delivered your best efforts as mutually agreed upon at the time of your appointment to develop the business, resulting in poor performance, in your capacity as DESIGNATION .
Performing below the level is making you liable for necessary action.
Accordingly, you are hereby called upon to submit your written explanation and show cause why disciplinary action should not be taken against you.
Your explanation must reach the undersigned within 48 hours from the date of receipt of this Show Cause Notice.

An attitude of total indifference, and that too coming from a faculty, demands immediate suspension.
There can be no greater crime than to have students waiting endlessly for the faculty, and then too with no assurance that she\'d come.
Each lecture\'s loss is an irreversible damage t the scholars. You may issue an ultimatum of 3 working days - failing which the faculty should be given a discharge note.
Begin, right away, finding an alternative faculty.

From your angle it seems you are going to issue show cause notice to a faculty who seems to be serving in an university, then, who is the authority to deal inappropriate, lethargic, unaccountable, lease mind in service, absenting from duties of faculty, and they have to take the action none else, First, inform the HOD of the particular branch to lodge proper complaint stating his/her absence, issue an order to remove his/her name from the attendance or put long absent or strike down his/her name by the appropriate authority issuing a letter stating the negligence of duty, secondly, after informing the faculty about his absence and striking his/her name a show cause be issued by the authority why such an appropriate action should not be taken against the faculty for causing damage to the students, thirdly, action for the punitive should be initiated.... meantime, a another solution of putting guest faculties should be initiated to save the students from becoming victims...You cannot take an action directly against a faculty without assessing his/her punitive action, however, in the case of private university such action can be initiated provided the authorities want to do so, also, they are govern by the UGC rules some are under the other State/Central education/university rules... painful but it is true ... (absconding is the right spelling) ....
