Hi,
Could anyone help me with Resource Allocation Form ?
Basically to track who has been allotted to which project, location and reporting to whom and to track which employee is currently not in any active project.
Also please share relevant HR forms used for software projects in a IT company.
Thank you in anticipation.
Regards
Priya

Dear Priya,

The Resource Allocation Form you refer to is an integrated feature in MS Projects and other similar PM applications. And, they can generate dozens of reports based on user defined criteria.

I strongly urge you (or your organisation) to invest (if you or they already haven't) in MS Project or other similar applications. Yes, they will cost you money, but in the land of Project Mgt, any task done manually is a hidden project cost. So, automation definitely is a money saver in the land of PM.

As for other HR forms, sorry - cannot help you with that. Never really got into the whole HR thing myself.

Back to the allocation form again - if all else fails, why don't you create a form using MS Excel, throw in a few macros, a bit of code, and voila - you've got yourself a free and 'better than manual' solution. I am suggesting excel because reading your post, you've pretty much got the column heads down pat. So, all you need now is for someone to do some back end work and you'll be in business!

Good luck!
