Dear seniors,
I m working as a purchase executive my question is normally i do not attend any management functions like cricket,party,singing programme etc.So is it may be creat a problem to increase the salary or promotion.

Though promotions should ideally be based on performance, a good rapport with senior executives may help your cause. Since human mind is subjective, the syaing that "out of sight-out of mind" may work against you at the critical time of promotions. Good rapport does not mean buttering and agood performer need not do it.

Sub: Appraisal issue of an employee
Kindly suggest me a solution of the following problem
In my company an employees is asking for salary appraisal but the problem is that before seven month she was given more hike than the considerable, Now the management do not want to give hike at this stage of time as she already has got unusual appraisal.
According to our policy we appraise the salary after 6-8 month performance review.
Kindly suggest me something how to tackle this issue so that management and the employee both remain justified.
Where I have joined this company just 3 months back so m not aware the condition when she was given the last hike.
