Dear All

I would like to bring all of your kind attention to the following news:

DMRC officials mark safety week - Times Of India

Seems good kind of initiative??? Seems like this company is giving more importance to Safety!!! Most of us will think like this way only if not goes through the below news:

Labourer killed at Jaipur Metro construction site | TwoCircles.net

Metro worker falls off beam, dies - The Times of India

DMRC fails to intensify 'supervision' at metro sites - The Times of India

We should be very serious towards implementation of safety standards than the lip service or organizing events like safety week... What is the need of celebrating the safety day, only for the sake of celebration, if the outcome is a fatal accident at the end of celebrating it...

I would like to bring the following incident also into the notice of our forum members in which one women dies during mock drill in Bangalore as said by Col Jude Mayne in the following thread:

Mock drill lapses responsible for woman's death: Karnataka fire department chief - Yahoo!

Requesting to all the leaders who are reading this thread to take a serious thought towards your working environment... Try to provide a safe and secure working environment to the poor workers!!!

Dear Dipil,

First of all thanks to share this info with us. Very long time ago I did share the same kind of fatality accident with us. ‘’It reminds us that even Safety Training can be dangerous!’’

https://www.citehr.com/335527-fatali...nstration.html

See the brief report/News of Woman falls to death during fire drill for your view (However you shared it in your earlier post)

The Hindu : NATIONAL / TAMIL NADU : Woman falls to death during fire drill

Mr.Dipil did you reading that report what the ANIL SINGAHAL said about that accident.

The Jaipur Metro project was launched on November 13, 2010, and since then seven people have died in five accidents at the sites.

"We have provided all safety gadgets to the labourers. But we cannot say that the accidents are happening only in Jaipur," Anil Singhal, DMRC spokesman, said.

Are you hope??? he will take any corrective actions in future I hope ‘’NO’’.

This is the very difference between our safety culture and others. ,, Nothing can change until we correct ourselves.

Dear Raghu
Thanks for expressing your views... We can do only thing, that lets do our best in our own area of control to prevent such accidents... I think in the mentioned accident at DMRC they were not even using proper access to reach the work location also not even yet start using the vertical fall arrestor or such kind of safety equipments...
Have a look into the below video also:
