Hospitality Vs Hostility
Hospitality is a very ‘cozy’ word as it exudes warmth, welcome and kindness. It is an embracing word that says “Come in, you belong here”.
Hostility is a very ‘cruel’ word as it brings the meaning of anger, violence and opposition. It clearly indicates, someone “You don’t belong here”.
Our places of work can be hospitable or hostile.
An experience of hospitality makes you see the world through new eyes. One of hostility leaves you feeling crushed.
In a work place the practicing HR Managers have a choice of being:
Human Resource Manager
Or
Horror Resource Manager.

Dear Mr. AVS,
Very funny and quite interesting too. I think, it is advisable for us to include TOP MANAGEMENT, whenever we talk about HR. In my opinion,
1) May be TOP MANAGEMENT is not empowering HRD to operate based on certain procedures/guidelines or
2) If HR is blessed with authority, HRD is not delivering their roles effectively, which must be as per HR STRATEGIES ALIGNED WITH BUSINESS OBJECTIVES.
With profound regards
