Have you been issued with Confirmation Letter? Does your company have two different letters – Appointment Letter and Offer Letter? Is your Offer Letter Elaborative?

Hi,
I have recently joined a mid size IT Company based on their offer letter and assurance that Appointment Order shall be issued on joining date. After joining, everyday HR assured to issue it next day and after 4 days of working, they clarified that they do not issue AO. My offer acceptance was based on assurance to issue AO. I felt let down and there was severe deficit of trust.I left them gracefully when they said that I was single person asking for it while around 400 other employees never saw it as an issue. Readers be careful !

Dear Venkatraman,
Normally the appointment letter will be given on the day of joining on maximum within 1 week.
The reason for not giving is they have fear that you will quit.
The offer letter is only a token / proof of letter that you can join on this date and if not it would become void. Unless appointment letter is given the offer letter has no use.
You can try with the company like you are getting a home loan or personal loan for this you have to submityour appointment letter and payslip.
