I would suggest you to have a formal induction system as well as an exit management.
You can include non disclosure agreements, notice period regulations as well so that legal action against violators can be undertaken.

Also when an employee joins your organization, get an asset declaration form, regarding the assets handed out by the company to the employee.

Hi Sonika
In case of employees dealing with confidential and intellectual property work, it is always advisable to get them to excute a service bond on a stamped paper requiring them to serve a minimum period and quote summary damages under the Contract Act for any breach there of and also stipulate conditions as to the procedure for complete handing over of his work at the time of his leaving servic like obtaining NOC from the employee who is taking over from him. You can devise a format for handing over and taking over of work of confidential nature that suits your company needs.

Thank you for sharing this information & showing me the path to overcome the problem.
Basically, we are into manufacturing and we have equipment, instruments, etc for our laboratory which are expensive & above all the confidential information , data, etc. So in that case anyone joining this dept., a legal document can be prepared for any breach or damage, and signed by the new joinee.
