Dear Saad,
you have to be pro-active. that is the only way.
the problem is created mostly when you do not perform/give the result as per his wants.
When he is assigning the job just go in detail what is his expectation. also try to ask him doubt when you are finding problem. It also makes him that you are learning from him so he guide you better.
In todays scenario every one's problem is the same.
Still you are not comfortable then look for another job but keep in mind that you will have a worst manager than him. so make life easy and try to overcome the problem so that you can grow up in your career.

It’s great to have a tough, stiff, and demanding boss. Initially working with him will be a tight rope walk, but once you synchronize your wavelength, it is a genuine pleasure to work with him. The benefits you will have working with tough bosses are-

1. quality of your work improves, because they demand

2. you meet your deadlines easily, cause they ensure

3. your confidence grows exponentially, as you are working in tough environment

4. your best is already out, as they make it certain

5. your future is secure, as your employability increases because of productivity

Finally,

6. your perception of reality broadens, in turn your overall satisfaction increases

You mean, your boss is nitpicking, narrow minded, irritating, and nagging… ohhh. Not a problem, you find this type of Machiavellis everywhere in this world. Luckily, there are huge volumes of advice written on this topic, however, no piece of advice suits singularly to anybody or any situation. We can only cull out, with our wisdom what suits us, or suits the situation. But what is wise? Middle path to nirvana, Budha says.

What do you mean by "Boss is so stiff and tough and create mental stress" Mr Masood? Has he/she doing anything like harassment or anything like. Have you done anything like he/she is not pleased with you?

This is just a discussion or you going through the same situation at personal level, I request you to please complete your post first or share more details.

Second, you are "Recruitment & Employee Relations Executive" and you must understand the relation between Boss and an Employee.

And if you are an employee and your you found your Boss is stiff and tough, giving you more work, and expect the results and work done as early as possible, thn it is his/her job. You can expect your Boss to be a befriended with you or behave like this and its employee's duty to get impressed him by his/her work and performance as well as the understanding and making good relationship.

We all, at whatever position we are, having Bosses and have to work under him/her as they want and their expectation from her and need to set aside our personal issues and have to show professionalism.

Hope you got my point..

Please share more so that we can discuss this with more understanding.

before i Explain any thing, one thing let me clear that, i'm not afraid of taking more work load. I'm hard worker and trying to be a smart worker as well, but, Its my just the starting of 2nd year of profession.. (1 year and 1 month). Out of that, i've worked 1st 6 months in Business operations and ramaining time as Human Resource Professional.
But, meanwhile, i need a bit guidance for work. I can improve but improvement takes time. but, if you expecting me to become proactive without providing me a single inch guidance, then how can I?
If you are 7 year experienced and expecting me to work upto your level, can i gain your level at once? will not it take some time? surely it will.
So, This is what happens now a day with me!
My point of view is that, at least at least keep some margin so that i can gain my performance upto your mark.

Dear Saad,

I get your point and why you are feeling uncomfortable. As many of the above have very rightly said, understanding your boss is very important and once you understand and come to his level of delivering what he has asked you it becomes easier as well as enjoyable.

Probably one comes to this situation after working with a boss who wants to be "Goody Goody & Popular". A professional boss CAN be understanding or demanding both style is correct, but your expectation that he has to be the way you expect him to be ???? see it from his point of view ----He's the boss you have to be as he wants you to be. This is one way of you understanding it OR look for greener pastures.

but always remember "When the going gets tough, the tough gets going"

All the best don't be disheartened look at it from a professional angle some day you will become a boss (I am sure you will be milder) but I am sure your learning and growth with such boss be worth the pain.

Warm regards,

Richard

Dear Saad,
Being as HR professional, you need to know one thing that boss is always right, even if he is not. Second, in this globalized world, there are more competent and smart people then all of us who can work more hard and smart even in less salaries. So don\'t worry about boss behavior because you can not change it but you can change your work behavior the way it suits you and your Boss. Remember following few tips:
1. Sort your work from high priority to less and start with high. Put daily routine task on your office Green Wall or white Bord
2. Make your life easy by sorting those work which share common information and through technology try to minimize number of same entries on different task or data and align them together.
3. More well managed your work and filing, More well managed your stress will be.
4. Make use of saying yes to your boss on his every request because he want to here these words but dont rush for every work unless if something is on high pri

Hi,
I agree with shenbarajan, you have to be pro-active in this situation, just concentrate on your work, do it full-fledgly, watever doubts or the information required clarify with your manager properly, there shouldn't have mis-communication. handle it effectively, give your best in all the ways, still if it doesn't work search for an alternative but handle with care.
Thanks
