what does mean by NCP days for PF software and what is Higher flag on EPF? Please help me Vidhya
31st December 2011 From India, Pune
NCP days stands for "Non Contributing Period" Days
It means the days for which PF contributions has not been paid.
In other words, the AB days of employee's, for which he is not being paid and his PF contributions have not been calculated are NCP days.

Is NCP days means the no. of days an employee is absenting from the job..for example if the employee ''A'' is absent for 4 days in the month of march so in NCP column the no. of days will be 4 for that month. If the employee is absent for long period i.e. say 45 days then while making the ECR the absenting days will be calculated for that particular month or from the period he is absent.
13th April 2012 From India, Bareli
Yes Its correct. NCP days are the days for which employee is absent for the particular month and his PF is not calculated for that period of time. It's Non Contributory Period for the particular month.

Thanks Vidhya..
Now me clear abt it..earlier I included NCP days for other month also..because one my employee is been absenting from Feb till date..so it ws almost 45 days..now me clear that the NCP days is only for that particular month..so in this case it will be 31 days (for march'12 paid in april'12)..

Vikas, Weekly offs are entitle to employees so that they are considered as present and employees are paid for those offs as well. Therefore, only LOP days will be considered as NCP days...

I am sundar. I need to clarify sth,
An Employee joined after 21st day of a month. His absence was 4 days, thereafter.
NCP - 24 / 4?
Before his Date of Joining in that particular month, the previous days are accountable for NCP?
26th October 2016 From India, undefined
@soma Date of Joining is 21st of the month so the NCP is 4 days only

Hi all, My question if employee take leave for 2 days and leave sanction according leave policy CL, SL, and EL then how to calculate NCP Day,s ?
10th January 2017 From India, Allahabad
PAID leave is not counted for NCP, only the unpaid or LOP days are used for NCP NCP = Non Contributory Period

i want to know how to make ecr if 1 person have salary 11000 but he come only 8 days in a month and he earn only 2839
18th January 2017 From India, Mumbai
salary 2839, NCP 23 days, if the person left the service in between, then NCP would be reduced by the days, which remain after leaving,
say he left service on 20th, so NCP would be 20 - 8 = 12 days only , but if he continue for next month then it would be 23 days
18th January 2017
I just wanted to know, If employee worked from 1st to 12th Of JAN 2017, so worked and earned wages only for 12 days ( - 2 sundays) as our salary days are either 26 / 27... so what should be NCP here... and also before we used to mentioned Last working day of employee, now where to key in this information.... thanks in advance .
6th February 2017 From India, Mysore
under EPF calculation don't segregate the sundays separate, just mark date of 1st date of working, mark the laste date of working, balance in between if any sunday comes then its within contributory period, even if the person worked till saturday, then his NCP would start from next monday, (immediately following sunday after the working day would be deemed within contribution period)
6th February 2017
for EPF purpose, count the 31/30/28 days i.e calendar days, for contribution, sunday may be paid or unpaid, but it can not be counted under NCP, within the continuity of attendance.
6th February 2017
thanks for the quick response, just to gain more clarity, cn u exemplify for this senario, say person left on 12th JAN, ( with no LOPs), Jan has 31 days, so what should be his NCP here in this case
6th February 2017 From India, Mysore
you have submitted the left service on 13/01/2017 (immediately after working day) Hence NCP is zero
