Dear All
I worked as a contract employee for an pvt ltd company in navi mumbai for 6 months. after the expiry of contract, they asked me to continue work and assured me of the contract renewal.i worked for around 1 month without contract and later they told me to discontinue.
I have even not received my salary for the last month after the contract expired. How can i claim that salary of one month?
Please advice.

Well it is really a sad thing but one thing I wanna know whether you have spoken to your reporting supervisor/boss or not. Second, what exactly they are saying, has they denied to give you the salary of this month and any specific reason they has told you for discontinuing your services??
You first need to speak to your Boss and then try to get the actual reason. And one more thing if you may have asked for resignation or anything, please do not do this. Do not sign on any paper or mail your resignation if they asked you to do until you get the solution of your problem. But be kind and calm which us really important for you at this point

They are not denying but not paying also. My contract expired in July'2011 1st week and I worked for whole month of July'2011. I am not working there now. Five months have passed and no movement on the front to pay salary other than the assurances.

Akash i still didnt get the answers of my questions. Have you spoken to your Boss in this regard or not? Why they are not releasing your salary, is there any answer you have received by them. What they said? Have you resigned or has just stopped going there?? please answer me ...
Well as they have never said that they will not pay you your dues, i dont think there is anything wrong, there maybe some internal issues and you are not getting your dues because of it. You must be in touch with them and wait for few more days. You also can visit them for your EPF claim bcz you are eligible for this too.

Yes, I have talked to my boss. He is saying that we are doing it but even after 6 months, i am waiting for my due salary. I had to stop working there coz i was told to discontinue. I think there was no question of resignation as the job was a contract assignment. I am continuous in touch with them. As a contract employee, I was not eligible for EPF and it was never deducted. It was a professional income in my hand.
It was a contract job of 6 months for a project work which expired in July 1st week 2011. 7th month (the balance of July 2011) I continued working on the assurance of contract renewal. at the end of 7th month i was told not to continue with job and assured by my boss of my salary for 7th month.

Hmm, yah you were on contact project work but now you need to wait for some more time but be in touch with them and speak to your Boss and also need to communicate by email which will work for your future reference. As you know that they has never denied to clear your dues but taking time maybe with some reason, therefore, you need to wait some more days dear..also send a mail to your Boss alongwith mark CC to your HR personnel for their further reference and understanding.
Best of Luck
