As a best practice, you may look at the following and suggest your management
CL - 7 days (Min 1 day and Maximum of 2 days)
PL - 20 days (Min 1 day and Maximum of 10 days at a stretch and should mandate all the employees to avail these leaves and shall not be carry forward or reimbursed to have a better work life balance)
SL - 12 days (Can be carry forward to the next years and can go up to cumulative of 120 days)
ML - 90 days (4 weeks before the due date)
Holidays - You can search in CiteHR as i have uploaded the Holiday list for 2012 yesterday only

Than you for your prompt reply.
Above things i have already suggested to the management but now they want to see different company structure who falls under this act, propbly just want to see whether all companies are haveing this many leave or not.
So I am told to present around 4-5 well known company;s leave structure like, vodaphone,relience or any other.
Can you please help on this?
and Sl would be 7, as per this act, isnt it?

Please refer mumbai/bombay shop & establishment act and gujarat rules, every thing will be clear. Please also refer my previous mail on the subject, a query from some other person. Every employee who has worked for not less than 3 month in a year shall be eligible for 5 days leave for every 60 days worked. And for those who have worked for not less than 240 days - 01 day for every 21 days worked. Days on which establishment remains closed, public holidays should be counted as working days for the purpose of calculating working days. It all depends on the type of establishment you are working and weather standing orders are applicable to your estt. Please check before implementation.

Absent in month of notice period 20 Days
Leave in credit ( Cls and PLs) 15 Days
Basic Salary : Rs 12200
City Compensatory Allowance (10 % of Basic) : Rs 1220,
Monthly Comuting Expense : Rs 800,
Health & Medical Benefit : Rs 300,
Mobile Expence : Rs 600
Special Performance Allowance: Rs 3000
Gross Salary Rs 18120
Do these absence of 20 Days have effect on Perks in salary breakup Like Medical and Mobile perk?
Can we adjust these absence be adjusted with CLs and Pls, so that total presence will be 25
Days ( 10 + 15 Days).?

This is Neelam Mishra as HR generalist in Private firm In Uttar Pradesh state. Kindly help me regarding Leaves, There is an one employee apply cl in establishment department, He is On - Payroll employee and eligible for all leaves, But dispute is here he had taken leave LWP for 3 months after his leave due's he has came back office and joined. now he is currently doing and came regular, he has applied two CL but establishment department has rejected leaves him. now in this matter how can we help him. Because he is very hard working and sincere employee one of them.

In my previous organisation staff were entitled to 12 sick leaves and they can carried forward for next year. Employee can max accumulate 120 days of leave in his service.
If any body has the extract of the Act, please share it with me.

I have a query pertaining to sick leave carried forward.
Can any body clear my doubt whether the sick leaves are carried forward for the next FY or calendar year.
If it is allowed what is the limit for the same to carried forward and how many sick leave can be accumulated in his service and also till how many years he will get credit of sick leaves to his account.
please share if any body has any extract of the labor law on the same.

Need your help please. I was working for a media company in Mumbai from 22nd January 2015 till 18th March, 2105 who are registered under the Shops & Establisment Act. On 18th March, 2015 I was relieved from my services with immediated, nevther less I had give 1 week notice period as per their policy. From the time I have left I have not received my dues for the month of March, 2015. Can u guide me and let me know how long they can hold my dues. Thank you for your help in advance.
